Following an exciting and hope-filled summer of off-site day camps, Beaver Creek Bible Camp is working hard towards a summer of Day Camps! We continue to recognize the tremendous need for children and youth to have social interactions, to have a sense of belonging and most of all, to encounter the Living Christ, and we are committed to continuing to provide these opportunities in whatever shape we are able.
According to government restrictions, as of June 23rd, Day Camps are now open for campers of all ages in cohorts of 20 campers! And we now are looking forward to welcoming campers to another summer of camp in their communities! After a year of staying apart from people, our theme for the summer – “Come to Me and I will give you rest”, taken from Matthew 11:28 – reminds us that we can always go to Jesus, no matter what limitations we face.
As part of our efforts to keep campers safe, campers, staff, and anyone else on site can expect to follow our Social Distancing Protocol, as outlined here: - Sanitize/wash hands upon arrival, and before and after each meal/activities - When sitting in groups or lining up, keep a distance of 2 meters apart, and follow marked out guidelines when available - No hugs or high fives – yes to fist bumps, foot fives, elbow bumps - No sharing of food/drinks/waterbottles - Masks must be worn indoors at all times, except in specific situations where social distancing is in effect
For more details on our COVID-19 policy and procedures, please see our summer COVID-19 Procedures document from this past summer. We will be revising this document for the coming summer once we have a better idea of what camp will look like. Please be assured we are making every effort to keep our campers and communities safe and healthy during this extraordinary time!
